BlockBeats News, January 11 — The cryptocurrency sentiment analysis platform Santiment states that the current social media sentiment discussing Ethereum has significantly declined and is approaching the subdued levels seen before the ETH market rally in 2025. When the crypto community begins to “give up” on Ethereum and sentiment drops to extreme lows, prices often suddenly take off.
ETH hit its annual low of $1,472 on April 9, 2025, and in just four months, it surged nearly 70%, reaching close to the 2021 all-time high of $4,878 on August 23, 2025. Santiment analyst Brian Quinlivan said that the current bearish sentiment towards ETH indicates that it is unlikely to fall significantly further.
