Have been doing some thinking and reading of what the Venezuela thing means for markets.
Trying a longer form post for once. Let me know if I should post more like this rather than brain rot 1-2 one liners.
(Not so short) summary of my thoughts.
- US Spec Ops captured Maduro yesterday (sunday) us time from right out of the Venezuela capital. Today he has already been flown to New York and is being held and going to be charged for nacro terrorism (very serious)
- Maduro was widely unpopular, widely believed to have rigged and stolen the 2024 election. He was also unpopular with other South/Lat

asian people (who could care less about the arbitrary 31 dec calendar holiday) seem to be working and bidding $btc while the americans and europeans are still out of office

$btc trend is very clearly down to wipe out everyone who is trying to long this "santa rally"

based on nothing than my gut feel (from staring at charts for thousands of hours over the years), I think we retest low 80s at the minimum over the christmas holidays / next few days to totally take everyone out who has been long and expecting a santa rally in $BTC.
this is not financial advice. absolutely no TA involved in this at all, just my gut.
Sometimes you just have to go with what your intuition tells you.

$btc minimum 82-83k looks inevitable in the next week imo

looking like 88-88.5k $Btc is incoming in the next 24-36 hours. liquidity grab at 94.5k was way too obvious bros

Asia / London session pump = New York session reversion

Feels like a risk off kind of day. Will be shorting any $btc pumps. Bias is down unless proven otherwise

his is going to be one of the biggest nothing-burger FOMC's in the next few months because you have a lame duck chairman (powell) and trump has already (as good as) announced his successor, who is a big dove

$btc is now consolidating in a low volume node, which is typically an area where you get some sort of reaction from the market.
went long here at 89.2k for a bounce to 92-92.5 or so and lets see what price does there.
doesn't take much on illiquid weekends to move it up and feels like there are too many people shorting this for lower.
