Hong Kong's virtual asset regulatory framework has been established, with key infrastructure in place. What should be the next focus? Industry insiders believe it should shift towards practical implementation—enhancing liquidity and accelerating product approval processes. What can these actions bring to the Hong Kong dollar circle? More institutional-level virtual asset trading and innovative products. Once these steps are smoothly implemented, Hong Kong has the opportunity to become a major global hub for virtual assets, attracting more projects and capital inflows. The combination of regulation and commercialization may be exactly what this market needs.

The framework is in place, but the key still depends on whether the approval process can keep up; otherwise, it will just be a decoration.

Well said, liquidity is the key. No matter how beautiful the framework is built, it’s useless.
Wait, will the approval process really speed up? I’m a bit skeptical.
The Hong Kong dollar circle is saved this time, but it depends on actual actions.
The arrival of institutional-grade products might not be a good thing; retail investors’ opportunities will be even fewer.
Completing the regulatory framework does not mean full implementation; there’s still an ocean in between.
If Hong Kong truly becomes a hub, capital flows will definitely be different. It’s still early.
Raising liquidity is the key; everything else is pointless if that’s not achieved.
I just want to see if Hong Kong’s product approval speed can outpace Singapore.

The framework is set up, now it's time to see if we can truly bring the flowers to life—that's the real test.

It should be pointed out that Hong Kong's "regulation + commercialization" narrative framework was already tried in Singapore back in 2015 and is still losing money. Liquidity is easy to talk about, but the real issue lies in the lack of a shared value consensus—according to on-chain data analysis, the growth of institutional-level trading has long discredited the outdated hypothesis of "liquidity determines everything." Clearly, if the Hong Kong dollar circle wants to become a global hub, they should first address the fundamental technical issues of capital account convertibility.

Speaking of which, Hong Kong's recent setup was quite quick. I'm just worried it might get stuck again at the approval stage, after all, we've all waited many times for "it will be ready soon" haha
