When you're hesitating, ask yourself a few questions:

1. If I were to make a choice from zero right now, would I still choose this?
2. If I disregard all previous investments and only look at the future, am I still willing to invest this time, money, and emotion?
3. Is there a better place for the resources I plan to continue investing? (opportunity cost)
4. Am I seeking the result now, or am I just reluctant to let go of previous investments?

If you feel uncertain about the answers to questions 2 and 3, then you're basically being dragged along by "sunk cost emotions."
At the end of the day, life is about looking forward. Sunk costs are in the past—don’t let them hold you back now. Focus more on the future; resources are limited, so spend them where they’re truly worthwhile.
