Last month, officials from Novatek told Indian importers at India’s largest oil conference that this situation is about to change. According to sources who attended the meeting, officials said that US President Trump will negotiate with Russian President Putin to end the conflict in Ukraine and ultimately lift the sanctions. Although the actual progress is not so clear, no one can guarantee that Trump will relax restrictions on Russia. However, it is said that the president’s advisers are studying which measures may be adjusted if negotiations with the Russian side make progress - Novatek is the latest Russian company to seize market opportunities.
