The White House announced that it plans to host the first Crypto Currency Summit, which President Donald Trump will attend and speak at, on March 7.
The summit will bring together leading founders, CEOs, and investors in the cryptocurrency sector, as well as members of the President’s Digital Assets Working Group. The event will be chaired by David Sacks, the White House’s Chief of Artificial Intelligence and Cryptocurrency, and the task force will be led by Executive Director Bo Hines.
This historic summit is expected to address important issues surrounding digital assets, regulatory policies, and the role of cryptocurrencies in the US economy.
Before being elected President, Donald Trump promised a Bitcoin Strategic Reserve. Subsequent efforts revealed that it was updated to be a Bitcoin reserve that did not require further BTC purchases.
Cryptocurrencies, despite entering a period of growth after Donald Trump’s election as President, experienced significant pullbacks in risky assets, particularly due to the potential inflationary pressures of the customs duties planned to be introduced by Trump.
