Putin: Trump is 'smart and experienced' Worried he is not currently safe

On November 29, according to CNN, Russian President Putin praised U.S. President-elect Trump as an “intelligent and experienced” politician who can find “solutions.” Putin also criticized Biden for creating “additional difficulties” for the incoming Trump administration by allowing Ukraine to launch U.S.-made ATACMS missiles at targets inside Russia. When asked if Biden’s decision would affect future U.S.-Russia relations, Putin said the situation may improve after Trump takes office in January next year. Putin also said Trump has overcome the “serious test” of returning to the White House, referring to two assassination attempts Trump faced during the campaign. Putin stated that “absolutely uncivilized methods of struggle” have been used against Trump more than once, expressing concern for Trump’s current safety. Regarding the Russia-Ukraine conflict, Putin threatened to launch more new Russian intermediate-range ballistic missiles, warning, “We will use all means available.” He did not rule out using ‘Iskander’ missiles against Ukrainian military units, military-industrial facilities, or decision-making centers including Kiev, as Kiev authorities continue to attempt attacks on our critical facilities.
