Oxford Economics: Africa will face a tighter monetary policy

Jinshi data, November 7th news, the African branch of the Oxford Economic Research Institute stated that after Trump returns to the White House, African leaders will have to prepare to deal with a more stringent monetary policy. The institute pointed out that the more restrained policy easing of the Federal Reserve and the strengthening of the US dollar could have a negative impact on the African economy. The institute stated in a report: “From a geopolitical perspective, many ‘carrots’ previously used to maintain influence in Africa will be replaced by ‘sticks.’ African leaders will have to deal with more confrontational and transactional exchanges with the United States.”
