Nearly 3000 people in South Korea sought medical treatment for heat-related illnesses this summer

Jinshi data, August 22 news, the South Korean Ministry of Administration said on August 22 local time that nearly 3,000 people have sought medical treatment for heat-related illnesses this summer, with 28 deaths. Yonhap News Agency quoted data from the South Korean Ministry of Administration as reporting that from May 20 to August 20 this year, the number of patients seeking medical treatment for heat-related illnesses in South Korea reached 2994, compared to 2532 during the same period last year. On August 20 alone, 98 people were sent to the emergency room due to heatstroke. During the same period, 28 people in South Korea died from diseases caused by extremely high temperatures.
