Polkadot initiates a new proposal to shorten the staking unlocking period from 28 days to 2 days
Odaily Planet Daily News According to the new RFC-0092 proposal of Polkadot, the unlocking period is proposed to be shortened from 28 days to only two days, aiming to reduce the unbonding period of staked tokens on Polkadot, improve user experience, and maintain network security. The new mechanism will queue new unlocking requests and adjust the unlocking duration based on the queue size, significantly reducing the average unlocking time. (Cointelegraph)
