Since November, the price of the ILV token of RPG chain game Illuvium has doubled at one point, from a maximum of $0.77 to $1.58 on November 12 (the current price is about $1.44). In addition to welcoming Web3 games, the Epic Games Store has also imposed a number of requirements and regulations on these release products that use blockchain technology, including prohibiting the presence of any blockchain, NFT, or cryptocurrency store links, promoting gambling, providing products and services to users in China and South Korea, and Epic Games’ right to remove products using blockchain technology from the store at any time based on market practices (e.g., in response to issues that may negatively impact players).

Epic is able to provide far more exposure and player count than any current Web3 gaming platform, which presents an opportunity for Web3 games eager to enter the mainstream gamer’s eye. In addition to Illuvium, Web3 games such as NFT card game Parallel are also planned or already on the Epic Games Store.
