Tether and Bitqik will run a nationwide crypto education initiative in Laos throughout 2026.
The program focuses on Bitcoin basics, stablecoins and responsible digital asset use, not product promotion.
Quarterly workshops across major Lao cities aim to educate over 10,000 students and entrepreneurs.
Tether and Bitqik announced a joint education initiative focused on Bitcoin and stablecoins in Laos throughout 2026. The program targets students, communities, and entrepreneurs across major cities. According to both firms, the effort aims to improve understanding of digital assets, promote responsible use, and expand practical knowledge of USD₮ through structured learning.
Notably, the collaboration centers on financial literacy rather than product promotion. Tether, the largest company in the digital asset industry, partnered with Bitqik, a licensed digital asset exchange in Laos. Bitqik offers brokerage and trading services that allow users to send and receive cryptocurrencies.
However, the initiative focuses on education delivery. Bitqik will develop online learning materials designed for students and new users. These materials will explain Bitcoin fundamentals, stablecoin mechanics, and practical use cases. According to the announcement, the content will support informed and responsible participation in digital finance.
Moreover, the initiative aligns with both organizations’ stated goals. Bitqik emphasized its view that decentralized digital currencies can support financial freedom and economic innovation. Tether stated that education remains central to expanding understanding of stablecoins in local markets.
In addition to online materials, Bitqik will host quarterly in-person events across Laos. These events will take place in Vientiane, Pakse, Vang Vieng, and Luang Prabang. Each location will host seminars, roadshows, and workshops during 2026.
Consequently, the events will focus on practical applications rather than theory. Organizers plan sessions on stablecoin usage, blockchain basics and digital asset handling. Participants will receive guidance on real-world scenarios involving USD₮ and other digital assets.
Furthermore, the organizers expect consistent scheduling to support continuity. Quarterly events will allow follow-up engagement and progressive learning. This structure aims to reinforce concepts introduced through online content.
The initiative aims to educate more than 10,000 people. The target includes students, entrepreneurs, and community members across multiple regions. Education will occur through combined online platforms and physical events.
Paolo Ardoino, CEO of Tether, said the collaboration emphasizes understanding alongside access. He noted the importance of bridging knowledge gaps through education and real-world examples. Similarly, Bitqik CEO Virasack Viravong stated that Bitqik Academy will lead activities throughout 2026.
Both companies confirmed that the program will run across the full calendar year. The initiative will raise awareness of USD₮ use while focusing on digital asset literacy within Laos.
