ChainCatcher News, according to Xinhua News Agency, Foreign Ministry spokesperson He Yadong responded to questions regarding the review of Meta’s acquisition of the artificial intelligence platform Manus by stating that the Chinese government has always supported enterprises in conducting mutually beneficial and compliant cross-border operations and international technological cooperation.

It should be noted that enterprises engaged in foreign investment, technology export, data outbound, cross-border mergers and acquisitions, etc., must comply with Chinese laws and regulations and follow statutory procedures. The Ministry of Commerce will conduct an assessment and investigation in conjunction with relevant departments regarding the consistency of this acquisition with export control, technology import and export, foreign investment, and other related laws and regulations.
