Neptune is a startup focused on providing monitoring and debugging tools for the model training process to artificial intelligence companies. OpenAI has been using Neptune’s tools for over a year to conduct various experiments and compare different versions of its models. Neptune’s CEO stated that the acquisition will enable closer collaboration between the two parties. He also revealed that Neptune will gradually reduce its external services over the next few months. OpenAI Chief Scientist Jakub Pachocki said: “Neptune has built a fast and precise system, allowing researchers to deeply analyze complex training workflows.
