American entrepreneur and investor Kevin O’Leary recently stated that a potential Federal Reserve rate cut in December would have minimal impact on Bitcoin’s price. He believes that persistent inflation may prompt monetary policy to remain tight, and expects Bitcoin’s price to fluctuate around current levels by about 5%. O’Leary pointed out that his investment strategy does not rely on the assumption of a Fed rate cut, and therefore he does not see rate cuts as a price driver.

Although data from the Chicago Mercantile Exchange (CME) shows an 88.1% probability of a rate cut in December, O’Leary believes inflationary pressures are the key reason for the Fed to maintain interest rates. The U.S. annual inflation rate rose to 3% in September, driving policy tightening. He emphasized that the Fed faces the dual mandate of maintaining full employment and controlling inflation, while recent tariff and input cost increases have also heightened the need to keep rates steady.

Bitcoin has recently dropped about 14%, and the market generally links monetary policy with cryptocurrency trends. However, O’Leary pointed out that regardless of the Fed’s actions, Bitcoin is likely to remain range-bound and will not experience sharp declines or surges. His view refutes concerns that policy uncertainty may disrupt the crypto market.

Analysts believe Fed policy remains a market focus, but O’Leary’s perspective highlights that Bitcoin’s short-term price movements are more influenced by the market’s own structure and investor sentiment, rather than a single monetary policy event.
