According to Techub News and reported by CoinTelegraph, a Discord eyewash called “try my game” is on the rise, causing multiple users to lose Crypto Assets and NFTs. This scam involves hackers infiltrating Discord servers or groups, using social engineering tactics to gain users’ trust, and then inviting them to play a game, sending a link with a Trojan malware to gain access to users’ devices, steal personal information, and empty the connected Wallets. NFT artist Princess Hypio stated on August 21 that she had $170,000 worth of Crypto Assets and NFTs stolen while playing a Steam game with the scammers. Kraken’s Chief Security Officer Nick Percoco pointed out that these methods have become increasingly popular attack vectors, emphasizing that “the biggest vulnerability in the Crypto Assets space is not the code but trust.”
