Coinbase has been selected as one of TIME Magazine's "100 Most Influential Companies in the World" for 2025.

According to Deep Tide TechFlow, on June 29, Time magazine published its list of “The World’s 100 Most Influential Companies in 2025,” and Coinbase successfully made the cut. Time wrote: "Since last fall, revenue at Coinbase, the largest crypto assets exchange in the U.S., has soared to over $2 billion. Thanks to the surge in enthusiasm for crypto assets following President Trump’s election victory, traders and investors have flocked to the platform. During that election, Coinbase led a massive lobbying effort that helped make crypto assets a voting issue. Now, the company became the first crypto assets stock to be included in the S&P 500 index in May and has become a key driver of policy efforts for the crypto assets industry in Washington, D.C. If legislation favorable to the industry is passed, Coinbase will become a larger hub for crypto assets activity in the U.S. However, Coinbase is not without its problems: prominent blockchain investigators have accused Coinbase of failing to address security vulnerabilities, resulting in users losing hundreds of millions of dollars to scams each year. Reports indicate that the SEC is investigating whether the company inflated user numbers in past disclosures. Nevertheless, Coinbase continues to seek expansion and in May spent $2.9 billion to acquire the Dubai-based crypto assets derivatives trading platform Deribit.
