巴里·西尔伯特，数字货币集团（DCG）的联合创始人兼首席执行官，继续巩固其投资观点，即金融隐私不仅是一项“基本权利”，而且是加密行业下一大非对称机遇。
在周三于纽约举行的比特币投资者周会议上，作为一名资深比特币投资者的西尔伯特表示：
“我对比特币作为多元化投资组合中的核心组成部分感到非常乐观。然而，我在寻找具有强大变革潜力的项目，预期其增长可达100倍、500倍，甚至1000倍。”
他坦言，除非美元完全崩溃，否则比特币难以从当前水平上涨500倍。相反，他认为专注于隐私和新基础设施的项目，如Zcash（ZEC）或Bittensor（TAO），可能实现如此的爆发式增长。“因此，我们将投资组合配置在这些方向，”西尔伯特说道，提及应用zk-proof的安全区块链和专注于人工智能的网络。
这一声明尤为引人关注，因为DCG的子公司Grayscale曾在2013年推出首个比特币投资基金（Grayscale Bitcoin Trust），如今已转型为市场上流动性最高的比特币现货ETF之一。
尽管对比特币仍持积极态度，西尔伯特承认，比特币“匿名货币”的故事在区块链分析公司如Chainalysis或Elliptic日益发展的背景下已不再适用。他也怀疑这一最早的区块链是否能真正整合安全特性，尽管用户对“使用数字货币同时保障隐私”的需求十分明确。
隐私成为新焦点
从这个角度来看，西尔伯特认为，当前或未来流入比特币的部分资金可能会转向专注于隐私的加密资产。
“我们的赌注是在未来几年内，大约5%到10%的比特币价值将转向隐私焦点的加密货币，”他表示。
目前，Grayscale运营着Zcash Trust——自2017年推出的公开基金，正考虑转型为ETF。此前，公司也曾为Horizon网络的ZEN代币提供投资产品，如今其作为基础层第三层（Base Layer 3）在运营。
关于量子计算的风险——即假设量子计算机可能破解椭圆曲线密码，威胁到已公开的比特币地址——西尔伯特认为这并非比特币的紧迫威胁。然而，他强调：“Zcash是一个极好的防护措施。”
尽管DCG多年来一直支持Zcash，西尔伯特表示，他越来越觉得“在金融隐私方面更感到自在”，尤其是在保罗·阿特金斯担任美国证券交易委员会（SEC）主席的背景下。
“目前，隐私是我首要关注的事项，”他总结道。
