According to Reuters, U.S. President Donald Trump threatened on Wednesday to impose additional tariffs on EU goods in response to the EU’s plan to levy counter-tariffs on certain U.S. products next month. The U.S. had already imposed a 25% tariff on all imported steel and aluminum, prompting retaliation from major trade partners. Canada announced a 25% tariff on U.S. steel, aluminum, and other goods totaling $29.8 billion, while the EU plans to impose tariffs on $28 billion worth of U.S. products.
