At 6 a.m. this morning, the three co-founders and CEOs of OpenAI, SoftBank, and Oracle, Sam Altman, Masayoshi Son, and Larry Ellison, attended the press conference hosted by President Trump.

Trump announced that SoftBank, OpenAI, and Oracle have jointly established a new AI company, Stargate, and will invest $500 billion in the next four years. They will immediately invest $100 billion to build AI infrastructure.

Stargate project is a newly established company planning to invest $500 billion in the next four years to build a new AI infrastructure for OpenAI in the United States. We will immediately invest $100 billion.

This infrastructure will ensure America’s leadership in the field of AI, create hundreds of thousands of American jobs, and bring enormous economic benefits to the world. The project will not only support the re-industrialization of the United States, but also provide strategic capabilities for the United States and its allies to ensure national security.

The initial equity investors of Gate.io include SoftBank, OpenAI, Oracle, and MGX. SoftBank and OpenAI are the main partners of Gate.io, with SoftBank responsible for finance and OpenAI responsible for operations. Masayoshi Son will serve as the chairman.

Arm, Microsoft, NVIDIA, Oracle, and OpenAI are the key initial technical partners of the project. Currently, the construction work has been initiated in Texas, and we are evaluating potential locations nationwide to determine the final agreements for more parks.

As part of the Stargate project, Oracle, NVIDIA, and OpenAI will work closely together to build and operate this computing system. This continues the deep collaboration between OpenAI and NVIDIA since 2016, as well as the more recent partnership between OpenAI and Oracle.

This project also continues the existing partnership between OpenAI and Microsoft. OpenAI will continue to increase its use of Azure, and as the collaboration with Microsoft progresses, it will utilize these additional computing capabilities to train leading models and provide excellent products and services.
