OdailyXStarNews, yesterday, the non-profit organization Dogecoin Foundation announced that it has been building Open Source projects for the DOGE ecosystem and currently employs many full-time developers responsible for a series of projects to benefit the DOGE community. Since 2021, the foundation's goal has been to make DOGE an accepted means of global payment by building infrastructure and tools for businesses worldwide, and researching how to make DOGE more scalable and efficient. This work is mainly supported by generous donations from Vitalik Buterin and another anonymous DOGE enthusiast. By 2025, the foundation is seeking to continue its Open Source work, especially through the new Dogebox Decentralization infrastructure system, as a tool for the first million grassroots retailers to accept DOGE as a direct payment layer. Dogebox will allow daily businesses to self-host their online stores, integrate with existing systems, and allow regular Node operators to participate in the Decentralization payment system, which will provide rewards when people purchase goods and services with DOGE. The foundation also stated that it is currently seeking major sponsors for 2025 to benefit from building Open Source utilities and achieving the future of Decentralization payments.
