#HBAR Dan Gallagher Officially Resigns from SEC Chairman Candidate
Chief Legal Officer (CLO) of Robinhood Market Inc. Dan Gallagher announced his withdrawal from the selection of candidates for Chairman of the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) after much consideration.
Data from Kalshi, currently Dan Gallagher is in 7th position with 1% of the vote share. Meanwhile, the first place is Brian Brooks with 33%, followed by Paul Atkins with 33%. CLO Robinhood briefly held the top position, but immediately dropped after Brooks' votes surged.
Nevertheless, Dan Gallagher said his withdrawal from the SEC Chairman candidate was not due to losing to other candidates. He said it was an honor to be in the running.
"I have explained that I do not want to be considered for this position. I want to focus on Robinhood and our millions of customers," Gallagher said, as quoted by CNBC, Friday (22/11).
