Dear user, on December 29, 2023, Gate received a token swap notice from the SAITAMA project party. We are actively cooperating with the project party to handle the token swap. During our communication with the project party, we learned about the incident where funds were stolen by internal staff of the SAITAMA project and transferred to Gate. Subsequently, the project party stated that they are unable to assist Gate in completing the full token swap. In accordance with our principle of being responsible to our users, Gate originally planned not to support the swap and would release an announcement for users to contact the project party for the swap process after the project party's agreement. However, later on, the project party stopped the transfer function of the old token contract, which made it impossible to proceed with the original plan. Due to the project party's delay in providing the full amount of tokens, after further communication with the project party, we confirmed that SAITAMA has already swapped a portion of the tokens. Therefore, Gate will distribute the tokens received proportionally to the users.
