The Taiwan Legislative Yuan has passed the third reading amendment to the Money Laundering Prevention Act, which requires virtual asset service providers to complete anti-money laundering measures. According to the amended law, businesses or individuals providing virtual asset services and third-party payment services must carry out anti-money laundering measures, service energy registration or login, and violators may be punished with a maximum of 2 years imprisonment or a fine of less than 5 million New Taiwan Dollars.
