The International Organization of Securities Commissions (IOSCO) has issued policy recommendations for regulating decentralized finance (DeFi) as its members explore ways to supervise the industry. IOSCO, which represents regulators from over 130 jurisdictions, stated that existing international policies and regulatory frameworks can be applied to DeFi activities, and in cases where such rules don't apply, they should be modified to do so.
