Hashkey Capital Singapore obtains Singapore banking license

Hashkey Capital’s Singapore unit secures a central bank license, enabling local fund management and fostering the integration of traditional and digital finance.

Hashkey Capital’s Singapore subsidiary has achieved a significant milestone by securing a central bank license from the Monetary Authority of Singapore. The Capital Markets Services (CMS) license empowers Hashkey Capital Singapore to offer fund-management services within the country.

CEO Deng Chao expressed enthusiasm about contributing to the local blockchain community, emphasizing the company’s commitment to fostering an environment where traditional and digital financial ecos coexist seamlessly.

This achievement follows in the footsteps of other notable players in the crypto space, such as DigiFT and SBI Digital Markets, both having obtained CMS licenses in recent months. HashKey Capital aims to play a pivotal role in converging traditional and digital financial s, as highlighted in its statement.

Notably, the company received an in-principle license in November 2022, further solidifying its position in the dynamic crypto market. HashKey Capital’s ambitions extend beyond Singapore, as evidenced by its successful $500 million fundraising in January.
