Russian Groups Believed Behind FTX Hack From 2022: Elliptic
Research from analysis firm Elliptic suggests that part of the $400 million stolen from FTX crypto exchange last November may have links to Russia-based cybercriminal groups. The stolen funds were transferred to the Bitcoin blockchain using the RenBridge service and then mixed using a blockchain-based tool called ChipMixer. Some of the stolen assets were combined with funds from Russia-linked criminal groups before being sent to exchanges
