MakerDAO Cofounder Floats Solana Codebase for Native Chain Instead of Ethereum
MakerDAO cofounder Rune Christensen has proposed building the upcoming native chain for the decentralized finance project off of a fork of Solana's codebase instead of the Ethereum Virtual Machine. Christensen believes that Solana's codebase is the most promising option due to its technical quality, proven resilience, and existing examples of successful forks. The new chain, called NewChain, will serve as a backend for MakerDAO's SubDAO tokenomics and governance security.
