DOJ Charges OpenSea Spoofing Scammer for $450K in Stolen Crypto and NFTs



A man has been indicted for stealing $450,000 worth of cryptocurrencies and NFTs by operating a fake website of popular NFT marketplace OpenSea. The alleged scammer used the website to trick an NFT owner into providing their seed phrase, allowing him to transfer and sell the digital assets. The suspect, a Moroccan national, could face up to 47 years in prison if convicted.
