Recently, the group messages have been a bit overwhelming with information, with over a dozen groups constantly sharing forwarded opinions from KOLs and emotional calls to action, resulting in quite a few impulsive orders. To put it simply, KOLs mostly just share their opinions; the actual buyers are still themselves, especially when it comes to invisible costs like transaction fees and slippage, which only hurt after the fact.

These days, with that mainstream public chain about to upgrade/maintain, the group has started speculating whether the ecosystem will migrate collectively... I instead check whether the routing and pool depths have started to fragment; if they have, don’t push through blindly, as a distorted transaction price can hurt more than market fluctuations.

What I’m willing to do for added security isn’t complicated: before large transactions, run a small test to check the path, and clear out authorizations at the same time. It takes two minutes, and it’s better than getting stuck with strange contracts. Anyway, I don’t chase hot topics, just keep an eye on costs to prevent losing control.
