I just noticed an impressive figure in the latest Forbes ranking for March 2026. Elon Musk can now be called the first person on the planet whose wealth has surpassed the $800 billion mark. More precisely, $839 billion — that’s already history.
What’s interesting here? This jump happened incredibly quickly. Just a month ago, the figure was lower, and now it’s an increase of $64 billion in recent weeks. Since the beginning of the year, it has already grown by more than $100 billion. Elon Musk’s wealth growth is accelerating due to the surge in the valuation of his companies.
For context: in October 2025, his wealth first reached $500 billion. Then in December, he consecutively crossed the $600 billion and $700 billion marks. Now, it’s $800 billion. The pace is just insane.
Musk has held the position of the world’s richest person for almost two years, since May 2024. The second place is held by Larry Page, but he is more than $500 billion behind — the gap is simply colossal. It’s hard to even imagine such scales.
This is not just a number in the ranking — it reflects how quickly the value of major tech assets is being revalued. It’s interesting to see where all this is heading next.
