I just realized that I have been using heart emojis on WhatsApp completely wrong all this time 😅 It turns out that each color has a different meaning, and it's not just "I love you" and that's it. For example, red is for intense romantic love, but yellow is for friends, blue for loyalty and trust... see? I was sending red hearts to my friends when I should have been using yellow or blue.
The most interesting thing is that there are versions I didn't even know existed. The fire heart represents very strong passion or enthusiasm, the beating one shows accelerated emotion, and the one with an arrow is for that love at first sight like Cupid. There's also the broken one for when you get torn apart after a breakup, the bandaged one for emotional healing... basically, there's an emoji for every heart situation 💛💙💜💚❤.
What surprised me the most is the meaning of the black heart (mourning and sadness) and the brown one (solidarity support). I had never considered them that way. Now I know which to use in each context, although I admit I will keep sending the red one everywhere because it's the classic. Did you all know all this about the meanings of each one, or were you also lost like I was?
