Last night before bed, I checked the blockchain again, and I saw someone moving exchange hot and cold wallets around and claiming it as "smart money" copying others. It was hilarious... You think you're sitting with a genius, but you might just be watching someone move house. What really affects your trading experience is mostly that sorting issue: for the same swap, you think you're queued in order of your button presses, but someone can pay a small fee to cut in line, eating up your slippage, and LPs also have to bear impermanent loss. To put it simply, MEV isn't mysticism; it's someone stepping on your order from in front, while you're cursing "why am I being front-run again," they're counting their money. Fair? On-chain, it's never about "first come, first served," but about "who's better at buying their way in." Now I see pool parameters are off, I stay away to avoid becoming a lesson again.
