Trump Threatens to Attack Iran's Bridges and Power Plants on Tuesday

U.S. President Donald Trump escalated tensions by threatening to destroy critical infrastructure facilities in Iran on Tuesday, April 7, 2026. Through a post on Truth Social on Sunday (04/05) local time, Trump specifically declared that day as "Power Plant Day" and "Bridge Day" simultaneously in Iran. This latest threat comes as a follow-up after Trump issued a 48-hour ultimatum to Iran the day before to reach an agreement or open the strategic shipping lane in the Strait of Hormuz.
In his statement, Trump urged Iranian authorities to comply immediately with the demands to avoid large-scale military action from the United States. In addition to targeting bridges and power plants, Trump also stated that he is considering options to seize control of Iran's oil reserves if Tehran does not quickly agree to the terms of a new deal. As of now, Iran has not issued an official response regarding the potential attack targets scheduled for next Tuesday.
