Akamai, an AI-enhanced security platform... ushering in the era of zero trust
Arkamai Technologies announced today that its security platform Guardicore Segmentation has added artificial intelligence capabilities. This update aims to strengthen zero-trust security in hybrid and multi-cloud environments.
The new technology uses AI to analyze and understand application behavior, automatically generating precise and actionable policies. This allows enterprises to perform segmentation tasks more quickly and securely, confidently implement enhanced security controls, and proactively respond to increasingly complex AI-driven automated threats.
Arkamai pointed out that existing micro-segmentation tools are vulnerable to lateral movement attacks that outpace security team actions, and stated that this update will effectively address that issue. The new features enable continuous detection, provide customized intelligence for customers, and enforce policies based on evidence, helping organizations reduce attack surfaces and significantly lower risks.
The AI capabilities can understand applications, automatically discover and analyze their behavior, generate large-scale segmentation strategies, and verify their readiness. The entire process reduces manual operations and operational risks.
Additionally, the new features offer ongoing risk mitigation, providing in-depth analysis that combines exposure-aware detection with segmentation policy enforcement, and offering workflows to accelerate approval processes for application owners. This reduces friction and enables large enterprise environments to operate with zero trust.
Arkamai Enterprise Security EVP Off Wolf said, “The new AI capabilities allow us to continuously learn about the risk landscape and turn it into actionable defenses, helping organizations reduce attack surfaces and ensure security.”
The new features will be officially unveiled at the RSA Conference in San Francisco from March 23 to 26.
