When my wife became pregnant with our first child, the cravings began. All you ever hear is that now she will be “eating for two.” But we had our suspicions, so we started doing our own research. We learned that the baby doesn’t actually require much extra food; what matters is eating healthy, because whatever the mother eats directly nourishes the fetus.

We began reading books about what the baby needs, how it responds to sound, and how it feels the mother’s happiness. All the mother’s emotions transfer directly to the fetus. If she feels uncomfortable, anxious, stressed, or unhappy, those negative emotions can have a negative impact on the baby. So I shut out all the negativity and absorbed it for her.
Eat normally but healthy, maybe increase portions by 10–15%. Avoid manual labor. Stay stress‑free and tranquil. That was our approach.
What we ended up with was a healthy boy who was happy and curious. Friends, family, doctors, and teachers all said they had never met such a cheerful and joyful child. As I’ve always said: life is very simple if you just observe and educate yourself.
I wish you all luck and God's blessing for healthy children. The most precious thing in life.
