Do you remember the heated debate about 'No Kings' in the community back then?

This is not just a slogan; it reflects the entire crypto community's dedication to decentralization—no kingly rule, no monopolization of power, everyone is their own sovereign. From the founding principles of early Bitcoin, to the explosion of DeFi, and the exploration of various DAO governance models, this spirit has always been present.

Although that discussion has passed, the values represented by 'No Kings' are never outdated. It reminds us what true Web3 should look like—removing middlemen, eliminating centralized power, and giving every participant a voice.

Sounds good, but right now we really only have a lot of projects that are just new kings. Ideals are ideals, but the problem of centralized power in the crypto world seems to be getting worse. The spirit of Bitcoin is good, but unfortunately, large holders and exchanges are the real bosses. DAO governance? Ha, just look at those large token holders to know. Don't be fooled by kings; in the end, it's just replacing one king with another. This is interesting. Decentralization has been talked about for so many years, but centralization seems to have become stronger. Everyone has a voice, but who is truly listening?

Isn't it true that the big players are still cutting us up even if the king's words sound nice? Where is true decentralization? It still feels like a power game. The ideal is great, but in reality, DAOs can't escape the influence of interest groups. What happened to that initial enthusiasm? Why are we now kowtowing to big V influencers again?

Well said, this is exactly what we should stand firm on. But now, with a bunch of large investors and fund institutions controlling DAOs, is it really "no kings" anymore? This ideal is very lofty, but looking at the current situation, it's indeed a bit absurd. Only projects that hold onto this belief are truly genuine.

Well said, but how many projects are truly practicing this philosophy now? Most DAOs are still controlled by big players. The early idealistic atmosphere really can't be brought back; now it's all about capital games. Saying "no kings" sounds good, but the problem is that now there are a bunch of petty lords... It sounds perfect in theory, but in practice, it's still a mess, a never-ending game of power. This spirit is correct, but unfortunately, the biggest challenge is always in execution. I just want to ask, which major DAO project has truly achieved decentralization of power? The ideal is grand, but is life really that simple? That governance model of DeFi, frankly, still boils down to money and influence, similar to traditional finance. As I mentioned earlier, decentralization is just a different way of re-centralizing.

Honestly, how many people are truly practicing this philosophy nowadays? I think most projects already have a king, they just wear the hat of DAO.

Ideals are grand, but in reality, whales call the shots That's what they say, but a single statement from a big influencer can cause the price to plummet Decentralization? Ha, in DAO, it's still a few people in control The original idea behind Bitcoin was good, but now mining pools are still centralized
