【Crypto World】Seeing ZEC below $400, many people are used to comparing it with Bitcoin’s historical price points. But this kind of comparison is actually problematic.
Industry analysts have been emphasizing—don’t be fooled by the unit price; market capitalization is the true measure of a coin’s overall size. ZEC’s market cap is now $6.2 billion, with a total supply of 17 million coins. This supply is close to BTC’s 21 million, but the issue is: market recognition, ecosystem development speed, expansion of use cases… these aspects are on completely different levels.
So instead of obsessing over the unit price, it’s better to focus on market cap trends and real-world application deployment. That’s the proper way to evaluate the potential of a crypto asset.

Market capitalization and unit price, how many times do I have to say it, some people still don't understand...
ZEC is currently in this situation, with supply close but recognition far behind, making it hardly comparable.
Those who obsess over the unit price every day are probably just retail investors, really.

That's right, the unit price can really be deceiving. I used to always compare ZEC's price to BTC, but I later realized that market capitalization is the true measure of actual volume. 6.2 billion compared to the trillion-level Bitcoin, the gap is obvious.

That's right, but how many people are actually paying attention to market cap now? A bunch of newbies are still staring at the unit price, dreaming that a coin worth three or four hundred dollars can multiply tenfold. It cracks me up.

Well said, it's about time someone pointed out the obvious. Price per unit is just an illusion.
Market cap is the real story; ZEC's 6.2 billion compared to BTC is like ants nibbling on an elephant's leg, and supply doesn't matter much.
The key is whether the ecosystem can take off; otherwise, no matter how cheap it is, it's useless.
The real low ground won't be listed on the price chart; you have to dig it yourself.
ZEC unit price or market value? This is the correct approach to evaluating crypto assets.
