Abstract generation in progress

【Chain Wen】Zama, a privacy-preserving encryption protocol, announces an upcoming public token auction, an important part of its fundraising plan. The auction will use a single-price sealed-bid Dutch auction model, with the unique feature that the entire process will utilize Zama’s self-developed fully homomorphic encryption technology to protect bidder privacy.

The auction schedule has been set: bidding will officially commence at 16:00 (UTC+8) on January 21, 2026, and will run until January 24. The token generation event is planned for February 2, at which point the tokens from the public auction will be fully unlocked and available.

Participants are required to complete registration and identity verification in advance, and submit USDT bids using a single wallet address. When bidding, they must specify the total purchase amount and the maximum price they are willing to accept per token. After the auction ends, the system will calculate a uniform clearing price. Bids with a price at or above this level will receive token allocations at the clearing price, while unsuccessful bidders or excess funds will be refunded to their wallets.

In terms of project fundraising, Zama will promote token sales through the CoinList platform and its own auction application, with a project valuation floor of $55 million. Additionally, it is worth noting that Zama’s mainnet has launched staking functionality, with 18 operational nodes participating in network operation, demonstrating progress in the project’s infrastructure development.

Fully homomorphic encryption sounds impressive, but can it truly protect privacy... or is it just another wave of hype?

Does Fully Homomorphic Encryption Protect Bidding Privacy? The concept sounds technical, but can it truly prevent large traders from manipulating the market?

Full homomorphic encryption on the blockchain? It should be noted that the feasibility demonstration of this technical framework is still far from sufficient.
