I recently tried participating in a TGE event on a certain trading platform using leveraged borrowing, but after calculating, I found I lost a lot. Here is my bill for everyone to see.

The initial investment was 3276U plus 5U in my wallet, totaling 3281U. Later, I borrowed 0.18284 BNB (including 0.05295+0.12989), at that time BNB was worth about 165U, bringing my total assets to approximately 3446U.

After the event, I transferred out 1837.33U and 1.45895 BNB, with the market price around 1351.6U, totaling 3188.93U. The TGE tokens I received are valued at 135U, so 3188.93+135=3323.93U.

It looks like I didn't lose, right? But here’s the problem— I borrowed 2.8 BNB, but the platform only allowed me to repay about 1.4+, and the rest was directly deducted from my U. In the end, the calculation shows a pit of 3446-3323.93=122U. Plus interest and fees on the loan, the actual loss is even greater.

With this calculation, rather than messing around with borrowing coins to participate in activities, it’s much more cost-effective to just buy BNB directly. Leverage games seem to offer tempting returns, but the hidden costs are really hard to bear.
BNB-1,7%

That's why I never touch leverage; there are too many pitfalls. It's another platform playing word games; the tricks of borrowing and repaying are really disgusting. Looking at your bill makes me angry for you. Clearly, you didn't profit from TGE but instead got eaten up. Wouldn't it be better to just buy coins directly? Why bother with these tricks?

That's why I never touch leverage again; the platform's rules make it impossible for players to win.

Oh no, this is a typical platform scalp, in the end, the wool gets pulled --- Borrowing coins to play TGE, the threshold fee is enough to drink a pot --- It looks like no loss, but actually it's already bleeding out; digital games are the most terrifying --- The platform's trick is just reasonable arbitrage, we are the big fools --- Instead of struggling to borrow coins, it's better to go all-in on spot trading for stability --- 122U is just an obvious account, the hidden costs are the real killer --- This is the magic of leverage; no matter how clever the calculation, you can't escape the platform's palm --- In short, it's just repeatedly bleeding through fees and interest --- Brilliant, borrowing 2.8 and paying back 1.4+, the remaining U directly evaporates --- The temptation of TGE vs. the hidden costs of leverage, after calculating this, it's heartbreaking

Oh no, this is the legendary "platform black hand," the borrowing trap is deeper than the last. Leverage is just a casino; it looks tempting but it's all tricks. Buying BNB directly is definitely more profitable, avoiding the platform's various fees and wool-harvesting. I’ve learned my lesson this time; next time I’ll just honestly hold the assets. Counting the costs until I’m exhausted, TGE is really not worth taking this risk.

Another typical case of being manipulated by the platform. Looking at this billing detail makes my scalp tingle. The $122 loss isn't even including interest and fees—truly outrageous.

This is the trap of leverage. It looks like you can make money, but you're actually paying a lot in fees. In the end, people are just working for the platform. TGE events are really something you should avoid. Borrowing coins to participate is not even in the same league as directly buying. Who can clearly calculate the hidden costs? Oh my, once again being manipulated by the platform. The rule design is really clever. Forget it, no more messing around. Next time, just honestly fulfill the delivery.
