Liquidation is not really a matter of your strength; at its root, it's the result of that urgent mindset to "get out in one shot" that causes the problem.

New traders often follow this pattern—before they fully understand the market rhythm, they start calculating: can this wave double my money? When the price jumps, they get excited and go all-in; when the price drops, they’re reluctant to cut losses, stubbornly holding on until their account is wiped out. It seems like they’ve chosen the right direction, but in reality, their account has already been drained.

I’ve been down this bad road too. Back then, all I had was dreams of getting rich quickly. My fingers moved faster than my brain, greed and impulsiveness took turns, and I was constantly thinking about how to skyrocket overnight. Only after the market gave me a harsh lesson did I realize that this isn’t the way to go.

Later, I developed a method called "Compound interest without risking the principal." It sounds simple, but it saved me many times. How does it work? Use your principal to make small trial trades. Once you confirm the direction is reliable, use the profits to add to your position. When the market moves in your favor, increase your position accordingly; if you sense a change in trend, cut losses immediately and exit—no hesitation. This logic may not be revolutionary, but in a choppy, oscillating market, it can reliably protect your capital.

Compare this to the typical retail trader’s approach: holding onto 10,000 yuan, thinking every day whether to go all-in, calculating to take a 5,000 yuan profit and then exit. When a big bearish candle hits, all the hard-earned money for half a month vanishes instantly.

True seasoned traders may not have flashy skills, but they share one common trait—an excellent sense of rhythm. When the market is calm, they stay disciplined and don’t make reckless moves; once the trend starts, they can precisely catch the entry point and steadily pocket the profits. They understand this principle: principal is the foundation, profits are the building on top. If the foundation isn’t solid, no matter how tall the building, it’s a danger.

Don’t obsess over how much you can make; first, think about how to preserve your principal and avoid losses. Opportunities are abundant in the market; it’s never short of chances. What’s lacking is the patience to wait, the steadiness to hold, and the discipline to take profits. What’s the rush? The biggest risk is exhausting yourself in the chaos.

I’ve always operated with real funds, no fake stuff. If you want to avoid pitfalls and make steady money, don’t wander blindly in the dark in the crypto world alone. Keep up with the rhythm, follow that proven logic, and earn solid profits. Time will prove that this is the true path to profitability.

That's very reasonable, but 99% of people will still go all-in after hearing this. I am just that 99%.

To be honest, this really hit home for me. I'm the kind of person whose fingers are faster than my brain, and as a result, I've been beaten up by the market several times.

Rolling interest without principal, I've tried this trick too, and it’s indeed stable. The key is to hold back and not go all-in.

Listening until your ears are calloused, yet some still go all-in. Honestly, it's greed, nothing complicated. The strategy of earning interest without risking the principal can indeed keep you alive, but few people stick with it. Once the principal is gone, it's too late to regret. This is the magic of the crypto world; there's always someone who thinks they are the chosen one.

You're right, the all-in mentality is really a trap.

The saying "roll interest but not principal" is really on point. --- The HODL mentality is truly the number one killer in the crypto world; those with quick fingers and quick minds end up losing money. --- If the foundation of the principal isn't solid, no matter how big the profit, it's all in vain. I admit that. --- Waiting is really the hardest part, but those who can wait are the ones who ultimately make money. --- I've seen too many people go bankrupt after just one big bearish candle; it's heartbreaking. --- Sense of rhythm is not something you can master in just a few tries. --- Instead of calculating how much you can earn every day, it's better to first think about how to live and exit. --- "Rolling interest but not principal" sounds simple, but once you use it, you realize how life-saving it is. --- The principal is truly the most precious; it's more valuable than any technical indicator. --- Most people who get liquidated are actually just greedy, with their speed surpassing their brains.

Principal is the string that can never be broken. Reading this article, it seems like an exploration of a collective unconscious from the early days of the crypto world— the disease of seeking quick profits has never been new.

That's quite right, but the hardest part is the mindset. I used to be quick with my hands but slow with my brain, and I lost several times by going all-in with no good results. The principal is the foundation, and that really hits home. Wait, the concept of compound interest without compounding the principal—I've got to think about that. Actually, most people can't wait at all; they're too impatient. Stop-loss is easy to say but deadly to implement.
