What's the most annoying thing about playing blockchain games? Price drops? Not really. The most unbearable part is the sluggish experience—half a day to complete a single operation, and being hit with high Gas fees. How can such an experience attract regular users to play?

Recently, while reviewing infrastructure tracks, I found the Plasma solution interesting. There are so many public chains on the market constantly boasting TPS numbers, but only those with proven, hardcore technology can truly handle millions of users playing online simultaneously.

In simple terms, Plasma's approach is to extend a bunch of high-efficiency side chains outside the Ethereum mainnet. Monster drops, equipment trading, and various high-frequency operations are all completed on these side chains in seconds—fast beyond belief, with almost negligible fees. Only when data needs to be settled does it submit a compressed hash back to the mainnet for confirmation.

Think about it—what does this mean? Playing games in this ecosystem can deliver the smooth operation of "Honor of Kings" while also ensuring the rights to blockchain assets are secured. This is the kind of experience Web3 should provide.

If future popular blockchain games and social finance applications run on this kind of scaling solution, what kind of effect will it produce? Don't bother thinking—this will definitely be the entry point for the next wave of incremental markets.

Playing for a while, I realized that the gas fees are even more expensive than the game itself. Truly amazing. Plasma is indeed powerful, but I don't know when it will truly be implemented. Don't talk so far ahead; let's first smooth out the current blockchain game experience. That smooth feeling like in 王者 (King of Glory), forget about it in blockchain games in the short term. This set of theories sounds good, but ordinary people simply don't care about scaling solutions.

After playing blockchain games for so long, I finally understand that the real competitive edge isn't in the token price but in infrastructure. --- Plasma sounds good in theory, but the key is whether a team is truly dedicated to building the ecosystem. --- There are many public chains that boast high TPS, but few have survived until now. Betting on Plasma is less reliable than betting on people. --- I've heard the phrase "ignore transaction fees" too many times, but look where that got us—still getting cut. --- Wait, isn't this logic just an upgraded version of project team rhetoric? The more professional it sounds, the more cautious we should be. --- Millions of users playing games? First, ask whether the number of wallet addresses is even in the hundreds of thousands. --- This sense of anticipation is exactly the same as when we heard about public chain narratives back in the day. How did that turn out, everyone? --- Plasma is reliable, but the real incremental entry point must be something ordinary people can directly use, not just technical enthusiasts' papers. --- Another new wave of incremental markets is coming. I'm almost becoming an expert in identifying these opportunities.

Plasma sounds reliable, but the key is whether there are projects actually using it I'm already tired of those boastful public chains; there are very few that are truly usable No matter how good it sounds, it depends on the data—don't just talk on paper This approach is indeed feasible, but I'm worried it will just become the next hype concept A gameplay experience at the level of Honor of Kings seems unlikely; focus on stabilizing the basic experience first After all this time with Plasma, why haven't any flagship applications emerged The key issue is that user experience can't keep up; even the best infrastructure is useless without it The issue of Gas fees needs to be addressed, but is Plasma really the optimal solution? The biggest concern when playing games is still liquidity; no matter how fast the technology is, it’s useless

honestly plasma's just doing what people *should've* been doing from the start instead of clogging the base layer with garbage transactions
