Recently tried DUSK's upcoming VRF random beacon and NanoPay off-chain payment solution, which are set to officially launch in 2026. This truly enhances efficiency.

The VRF beacon is completely different from traditional random number generation logic—it is embedded directly into the SBA consensus layer, used for node election randomness, effectively blocking malicious nodes from predicting block rights. When I first deployed a node, I didn't enable the "vrf-beacon-enable" parameter in the configuration file, and as a result, the consensus rounds stalled, and the block interval skyrocketed from 6 seconds to 15 seconds. After reviewing the technical documentation, I realized this feature is a must-have for the 2026 mainnet. Once enabled, the node election response time improved by a factor of 3, with a noticeable difference.

Even more surprising is NanoPay's off-chain channel design. High-frequency small transactions can be completed off-chain, with only the final result synchronized on-chain. I tested 100 consecutive transfers, and from initiation to full confirmation, it only took 8 seconds in total—nearly 70% faster than purely on-chain transactions.

Additionally, the deep integration with Chainlink CCIP adds significant value. When transferring compliant assets across chains, there's no need for repeated adaptation; directly following the CCT standard allows seamless transfer, and the verification process can encrypt sensitive information. These are not just conceptual ideas but practical optimizations that can be directly applied.
