The notification system could really use some improvements. Right now, the settings feel pretty restrictive and honestly a bit messy to navigate.

Here's what would make things better:
- Let users turn notifications on for all content
- Add a filter for posts and quote posts only (excluding reposts)

These kinds of granular controls would give people way more flexibility in how they manage their alerts instead of the current all-or-nothing approach.

Nap warning... Notification settings are really a big headache, choosing between all on or all off is just torture. How much peace of mind can fine-grained filtering save, especially when you don't want to be overwhelmed by reposts.

The notification system design is indeed similar to some project teams' contract code—full of pitfalls. If you have to choose one, it's just as disgusting as the "all in" logic of Ponzi schemes.
