Project Overview

Animecoin (ANIME) aims to transform global anime enthusiasts into community-managed online participants. Currently, most anime fans are only spectators, but Animecoin’s goal is to position them as active participants and some form of owners.

As a cultural currency, it converts cultural atmosphere into real value, combining the anime world with blockchain technology. The ANIME token operates as a fuel token on Animechain, and users need ANIME to perform any transactions.

Project Founders

Animecoin was founded by Alex Xu (nickname Zagabond) in 2022.

Working Mechanism

Animecoin aims to turn fans in the anime industry into active participants. In this design, Animechain, anime.com, and Azuki IP play important roles.

Animechain: A third-layer blockchain developed using Arbitrum Orbit technology. All transactions on this network are completed using ANIME coins, serving as fuel tokens. Additionally, Animechain supports 40,000 transactions per second.

Anime.com: A distribution platform for the ecosystem, aiming to become a social layer exclusive to the anime world, similar to Discord. Focuses on visual content, live streaming, and digital collectibles.

Azuki IP: Encourages co-creation, allowing the community to shape characters and stories. Ultimately, the ecosystem is managed by AnimeDAO, with ANIME coin holders having voting rights.

ANIME Token Details

ANIME is the cryptocurrency of the Animecoin ecosystem, with a strong emphasis on community ownership. It facilitates transaction execution, governance, and value sharing among fans.

The total supply is 10 billion ANIME, with the token distribution plan as follows:

  • Community: 50.5%
  • Azuki Community: 37.5%
  • Community Development: 13%
  • Domain Expansion: 24.44%
  • Team, Advisors, and Company: 23.06%
  • Partners: 2%

ANIME has broad uses within the ecosystem. Mainly used as a fuel token in Animechain and governance token in AnimeDAO. Additionally, it funds independent creators and strengthens the DAO treasury (composed of seeder fees).

How to Buy ANIME

To purchase Animecoin, you first need to open an account on a cryptocurrency exchange. Then, complete the identity verification process. You need a balance in your wallet to complete the purchase. If you have no balance, you can choose payment methods such as bank transfer or credit card. After depositing funds, you can buy the desired amount of assets.

Steps to buy ANIME on an exchange:

  1. On the exchange homepage, select “Buy/Sell” or “Market” option at the top. Then, enter Animecoin or ANIME in the search box to purchase.

  2. Click the “Buy” button on the buy page to start. If you don’t have an existing account, you need to create one; if you already have an account, log in.

  3. Enter the amount of the base currency you want to buy to continue. Decide on the amount to invest and confirm the transaction. The system will automatically check your account balance. When sufficient, the transaction completes; if insufficient, you can choose to add more funds.

  4. Finally, click the “Buy” button again to confirm the transaction. Cryptocurrency purchase is executed immediately, and the purchased tokens will be transferred to your account shortly.

Anime coin... sounds good but always feels like a scam to cut leeks, the community owners have heard this too many times --- Wait, fuel tokens? Isn't that only playable if you hold the coin? That logic feels familiar --- Cultural atmosphere turning into value? Wake up everyone, who hasn't said that before --- Do anime fans really need coins, or do project teams need our money --- There are innovative aspects but it feels like the concept outweighs the application, we'll see how it develops later --- Another community-driven project, before betting, check if the founder's ability is up to par --- If you ask me, the anime community itself is already active enough. Adding a coin just makes you a participant? That's funny --- People will always believe that interest can turn into money, generation after generation --- The name ANIME really captures people's hearts, but what about the technology and application --- Look at Alex's history before deciding, not all founders are reliable

Ha, another project aiming to turn fans into bosses. I've seen this routine quite a few times. --- Anime community coin? Basically the same old story. Whether it can truly take off is another question. --- Transforming culture into value sounds good, but I'm worried it's just another scheme to cut the leeks in the end. --- Animechain? Never heard of it. Is this a new chain? --- It seems like everything in the crypto world can be tokenized. Following trends in anime themes is pretty quick too. --- Community management sounds democratic, but in reality, it's still a few people making the decisions. --- Interesting, but it depends on the actual application. Just having a concept isn't enough. --- Again, founded by Alex? This guy is quite busy. --- Fuel tokens? You need to hold tokens to trade? Isn't that just a disguised way to cut the leeks? --- I just want to ask, when will this thing be listed on an exchange?

Anime community coin? To be honest, I've seen this kind of thing many times, just worried it might be another rug pull scheme. --- Turning fans into holders sounds good, but how many of these can actually be implemented? --- The concept of a culture coin is quite fresh, but I wonder about its liquidity... Has anyone tried it? --- animechain? Never heard of it. How large does the scale need to be to support a fuel token operation? --- Another Web3 + ACG (Anime, Comics, Games) combo, let's wait and see. --- Community management sounds democratic, but in reality, the founder has the most say. Don't be fooled. --- Anime + crypto circle = a good way to make money, but the user experience might suffer. --- It feels like trying to turn anime fandom into an investment, which is a bit ridiculous. --- The fuel token setup is good; the key is whether there is real demand in the ecosystem.
