Introduction to Aster Coin

Aster coin is the native cryptocurrency of the Aster ecosystem. Aster is a decentralized exchange that supports on-chain trading of crypto assets, while integrating multiple yield models.

The Aster platform supports perpetual contracts and spot trading. In the yield model, users can use interest-bearing assets as collateral. This way, when these assets are used in various transactions, the collateral providers can earn passive income.

Trading Modes

1001x Simple Mode allows users to perform leveraged trading with one click. The name of this mode comes from offering up to 1001x leverage on certain assets. The Pro mode provides an advanced order book-based trading interface for perpetual contracts.

Aster Founder

Aster was founded in 2024 by a mysterious merchant named Leonard. The project received support from YZI Labs after its establishment. The ASTER coin was officially launched in 2025.

How Aster Works

Aster functions as a decentralized exchange offering multiple features on a single platform.

Simple Mode: Based on a shared liquidity pool model, which differs from the order book model used in Pro mode. The core of Simple Mode is the Automated Liquidity Provider (ALP) liquidity pool. Users who provide ALP tokens contribute liquidity to the pool and act as market makers. Meanwhile, the system uses decentralized oracles to ensure transparency and prevent price manipulation.

Pro Mode: Operates based on an order book system. Trades that add liquidity to the pool but are not immediately executed are called maker orders, while trades that are executed immediately are called taker orders.

Pro mode supports two types of orders:

  • Hidden Orders: The trade size and assets used are not visible on the order book before the order is completed, aiming to minimize market impact.
  • Grid Trading: Executes multiple limit orders within a preset price range to profit from market fluctuations.

Uses of ASTER Coin

Aster coin is the fundamental cryptocurrency within the ecosystem, serving as a utility token. Users can use ASTER to pay for transaction fees.

When discovering new projects on the Rocket Launch platform, users need to hold at least 100 ASTER tokens to participate. Additionally, during airdrops, users holding ASTER in their wallets can earn extra points.

ASTER Token Distribution

The maximum supply of ASTER tokens is 8 billion, allocated as follows:

  • Airdrops: 53.5%
  • Ecosystem and Community: 30%
  • Treasury: 7%
  • Team: 5%
  • Liquidity and Listing: 4.5%

Another DEX project, perpetual contracts plus spot trading. I've heard the passive income pitch too many times.

Another "innovative yield model" DEX, in simple terms, is using your assets to run arbitrage, and you get a share of the profits. From a game theory perspective, liquidity providers are always the last to know about a rug pull.

Another DEX, using yield-bearing assets as collateral to earn passive income? Sounds good, but I've seen this trick too many times.

Another DEX? Earning interest through collateralized assets sounds good, but the more you fall into this trap, the easier it is to get burned.

Aster sounds pretty good, but is collateralizing yield-generating assets reliable? How are the risks managed?

Another DEX project, how long can the yield-bearing asset collateral scheme last?

The Aster project sounds pretty good. The passive income aspect is interesting, but I wonder what the actual return rate is.

Is staking assets used as collateral? This trick sounds a bit familiar, another variant of yield farming, right?
