In my view, you can't truly call someone a community builder until they've weathered the storm and kept the conviction alive through the toughest times. That's the real test.

A community that's only been around for days, riding on the wave of initial excitement? It tells you nothing. Zero. Because anyone can attract eyeballs when momentum is hot and everyone's chasing the next thing. The real proof comes later—when the hype dies down, when the noise fades away. That's when you see who actually built something with depth versus who just capitalized on the moment. Time separates the genuine from the fleeting.

In a bear market, people's true intentions are revealed. Projects that rely on hype to survive have long cooled down.

Only during a bear market can you see who is truly building. Those who follow the trend during rapid surges should just get lost.

nah this is just survivorship bias wrapped in conviction rhetoric. plenty of "real" builders got liquidated through black swan events that had nothing to do with depth lol

Real builders are the ones who survive in a bear market; others are just riding the hype.

In a bear market, people's true intentions are revealed. Those who only ride the hype have already run away.
