Most Layer 2 solutions have a tricky problem: gas isn't really in your hands. Think about it—you're stuck with the gas token they picked, the fee structure they set, and whether your transaction gets priority? That's all on them.

Sure, relayers and paymasters throw some workarounds at the problem. But here's the thing: they're just patches plastered over someone else's system. You're operating within constraints someone else wrote the rules for.

Layer2 is really annoying, might as well just go with Rollup directly, at least it's more transparent.

Basically, L2 is just a different owner controlling you, right? Gas fees, priority, token selection... all in the hands of the project team. Relayer and paymaster? Sounds advanced, but they're just patches that address the surface, not the root cause. True power has never been given to the users.

To be honest, L2 now is just a different flavor of the same old thing; gas permissions are still controlled by others.
