On January 15, a16z crypto Managing Partner Chris Dixon stated that cryptocurrency developers need clear rules. Over the past five years, Republicans, Democrats, and the Trump administration have worked closely with members of the cryptocurrency industry to protect decentralization, support developers, and provide fair opportunities for entrepreneurs. Essentially, the Clarity Act (Cryptocurrency Market Structure Act) was legislated to achieve this goal. It is not perfect and will require some amendments before becoming law. But if we want the United States to continue to maintain its leading position in shaping the future of cryptocurrency globally, now is the best time to push forward with the Clarity Act.
