Recently, I noticed an interesting phenomenon— the Morpho team has decided to gradually withdraw from Discord. The reason is straightforward: this platform has issues with scams and phishing, and even the most cautious users find it hard to completely avoid risks.

They tried an alternative called Intercom, and it definitely improved efficiency. It is said that the team leader also suggested that other protocols consider changing their approach. This actually reflects a long-standing issue—while Discord is widely used in the Web3 community, security has always been a sore point.

Phishing links, fake official accounts, false airdrop information—these tricks have never stopped on Discord. Some newcomers simply can't defend against them; one careless move can lead to being scammed. Intercom is relatively more strictly controlled, and the user experience is also good.

However, this shift isn't really big news, more of a case study. The key is whether other projects will follow suit, and how Discord will respond to this ongoing trust crisis.
